The 10 Mile Race was amazing! It was freezing when I got to the race start bright and early at 6:20. I found this sweet note on the door as I walked out.
I kinda felt out of place when I got there because I didn’t have any sweet race clothes. Maybe next time. But none of that mattered once we got out on the trail, it was just one foot in front of the other. I really did try to open my eyes and enjoy the morning. After I got bored of that I invented life stories for all the people running around me. After I got bored of that I just jammed. After that (at mile 8) my music died. After that I just kept going and going. After that I realized I was in the last 1/2 mile. After that I started sprinting. After that I passed some lame chick. After that I crossed the finish line and I felt such a surge of accomplishment as a sprinted for the finish line. After that I ate a cookie.
