Hey there! How was your weekend? Christmas will be here before we know it! Expect the pace of blogging to slow a bit around here as we celebrate, relax, and spend time with family till Christmas. I hope you do the same. 🙂
For now, though, let the oversharing continue! haha!
I started this weekend out right by watching The Family Stone on Friday night with my friend, Cindy. That movie is the full spectrum of human emotion and I love it! I think cause big, dysfunctional families remind me of my own. We celebrated our girls night by drinking loose leaf Teavana tea, an almond vanilla one that was so delicious. Loose leaf tea is a little luxery that should be enjoyed more often.
On Saturday I addressed Christmas cards! It was kind of fun because I had 5 text conversations with old friends going at once! Sometimes being disorganized in your address system has it’s perks because it gives you a reason to chat! After getting that Christmas task crossed off the list, I started cookie baking! Like I shared earlier, I normally make four types of cookies: sugar cookies (iced with your finger), Andes mint cookies, chewy walnut treasures, and Christmas M&M cookies. I finished two kind and have the dough prepped for the third.
On Saturday and Sunday Nate doubled as a rockstar for our church’s Christmas concert. It has been a lot of practice over the past month and it was fun to see it all come together!
After church we drove down to Indiana to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family. We were all spoiled with gifts, but especially Miss Layla! Christmas is fun with babies! Layla also had a blast playing with her cousins! She thinks she is soo big and wants to do everything the big girls are doing.
We are looking forward to a fun week! Today I’ve got some work business and cookie baking to take care of, but overall it should be pretty laid back. We’ve also been blessed with mild weather; while I love a white Christmas it is also really, really nice to have clear roads in December. #michiganprobs
Have a great week! Linking up with Marvelous in My Monday and Weekend Snapshots!
