What a year 2014 has been! I’m grateful for each and every one of you who take time to ready my crazy thoughts, try my recipes, tell me my baby is cute, and cheer me on in my fitness endeavors. I really see us as partners in this healthy living journey…nowhere near perfect, but constantly making progress. 🙂
Here are some of Kate Moving Forward’s Best Moments in 2014….thanks for coming along on this journey with me.
This is still one of my favorite breakfast foods! And I love that Layla loves it too now. It’s one of my most-viewed posts and is a pinterest “power performer”. Elvis would be proud.
I love saving money thus I love shopping at Aldi. Cheap food doesn’t have to be “cheap food”, you absolutely CAN eat healthy on a budget….there are some great tips for using Aldi to kickstart your healthy, frugal living. Dave Ramsey would be proud.
This recipe is a Pinterest darling and for good reason! It’s sooo yummy! I need to make it again ASAP. There is no such thing as bad pizza. (Well, unless you put anchovies on it, then you are just silly.)
“Going green” can be overwhelming, so here are some great starters to moving to a more eco-friendly life. Little things add up! One of my favorite green habit is using essential oils.
Now that I’m a mom fitting in traditional gym time is tough so I like to take advantage of the little things to keep myself moving and active! It all adds up!
There is so much inspiration and encouragement in this post and in the comments of this post!
I just picked up a can of chickpeas to make this yummy, fresh salad again. It is the perfect way to kickstart your new year with greens and protein.
Farmer’s Market Tour
This was my favorite series of posts this year! It was so fun to visit local farmer’s markets (Richland, Kalamazoo, and Battle Creek) and see how much $10 would get us. I actually think I’m going to frame some of the photos from this series in my kitchen.
Of course, Layla posts were always popular! There were also so many other recipes, like my 3 grain breakfast cereal, funny posts, like Lies I Tell Myself While Running, and weight loss highs and lows. Thanks so much for reading this year–I’m looking forward to even MORE great things in 2015, including an e-book, more fantastic recipes, local reviews, fitness training, and maybe even some how-to videos. 🙂
