So it is almost Valentine’s Day! Do you celebrate with a big night out, presents, cards the whole works? Or do you celebrate a little more low key?
When I was in high school (and single) I hosted a Valentine’s dinner party for my friends. I made a sit-down dinner, I think of lasagna, with homemade french garlic bread, a madarin orange salad, and cheesecake. (YUM! Still sounds good!) We played some silly party games, dressed up and had a great time!
I guess, what I’m trying to say, is that Valentine’s Day isn’t my favorite holiday, but everything is what you make it. If you want to be boring and cliche or mopey and alone then there are lots of options for your Valentine’s Day plans, but if you want to take an ordinary night and make it a little special–there are plenty of awesome things available! Love is a great reason to celebrate!
So I decided that for my Foodie collection this month I would highlight some fun and fancy dinner ideas for Valentine’s Day! So bust out the fancy plates, the high quality steaks, the seafood, the candles and the scrumptious desserts and CELEBRATE!

What I love about this idea is that you can put the kids in bed and have your own late supper without worrying about a babysitter or getting a reservation. Or you can still have a night out, but keep the party going at home!
Also, while this is great for married folk, dating folk, coupled up folk, it is also great for having your best friends over or your Grandma! Just celebrate some kind of love!
