Elvis. Let’s just say the king of rock and roll knew what he was doing. Specifically, I’m talking about is his famous combo of peanut butter and bananas. It is an absolute classic combination, my most popular post to date, Banana Peanut Butter Baked Oatmeal, actually uses it too!  I guess everyone can’t help falling in love with the peanut butter banana combo! (<<<I apologize for the cheesiest sentence ever recorded.)

I have been making this banana peanut butter smoothie a LOT this summer. It is quick and easy to throw into the blender and then slurp on the go or while I’m fixing Layla’s breakfast.  Plus, it’s very balanced nutritionally and keeps me full all the way to lunch! Did I mention it tastes awesome?

This recipe is super easy! Which I love at this point in our life. We are going to need easy this week because on Wednesday my husband is undergoing surgery on his ACL. He’ll be laid up for a few weeks and then have physical therapy; it’ll actually be months before he is back to activities he loves like soccer, basketball, and football. We are excited to be finally on the way to healing, but it’s also scary and challenging. Will you pray for us this week?
