Strawberry Lemon Sparkling Water
I think one of the easiest and most important goals for your health is to drink more water. Even when I’m being intentional about drinking water I almost always fall short. Drinking water gives me more energy, clearer skin, keeps me from mindless munching, and keeps my digestive system on track. Of course, plain water can get boring after a while.
Back in November, I reviewed the Soda Stream Power, a sparkling water maker and shared a fun punch recipe. Our Soda Stream Power is still getting lots of use and I love using it to create my own flavored sparkling waters.
Sparkling water makes me feel like I’m drinking pop (or soda if you’re not from the Midwest), without any of the negatives like sugar, chemicals, and artificial colors. When I DIY my sparkling water I don’t have the expensive price tag that comes with most store-bought brands. Today I’m sharing a favorite sparkling water recipe, Strawberry Lemon Sparkling Water.
This sparkling water recipe is simple and you can also use plain sparkling water bought at any grocery to make it!

Doesn’t that sound refreshing? Definitely some water consumption I can get behind. I’m trying to drink 6 16 ounce glasses of liquid a day and this sparkling water recipe is definitely helping me to not get bored. I’m looking forward to more fun sparkling water creations…I think a blackberry lime and an orange mint may be in my future!

Do you struggle to drink enough water? How do you get all your water intake in? What sparkling water combination would you create?
I’m really striving to drink lesssss diet coke these days
This is just what I need to use, errrrr,DRINK instead. 🙂
Haha! I’ve mostly cut back my diet soda consumption to when I eat pizza. You can’t eat pizza without pop! Hope you enjoy it! I’ve FINALLY started reading your book and I’m loving it so much! Like every page I’m nodding, “yessing” and fist bumping you from afar. 😀
This looks like fun… I have never tried anything like this.
I am lucky to live where the tap water tastes great and runs cold! I never tire of it.
We keep a filtered pitcher in our fridge that eliminates some of the weird taste our tapwater has, but I still love to mix things up. I just like the fizz of pop!
This looks really good! I have to try to give sparkling water another shot. I’m not drinking alcohol for Lent so it’s been interesting trying to find ways to enjoy drinks that aren’t too bland or too sweet.
This sounds yummy very refreshing and simple to make.
Yum! I love sparkling water, just yesterday I wanted some bad and I was cursing myself for not having my own soda stream.
I love having one for this! It’s worth the extra room it takes up on my counter. 🙂
Essential oil in sparkling water? Who knew? Sounds so refreshing!
Yes! Just make sure it’s “therapeutic grade” like Young Living or DoTerra. I’m not an oil expert, but a few drops can really shake things up! I like the orange too!
We’ve had a soda stream for years and they are the best! I probably make it 3 times a day at least. Love the idea of the essential oils in there
Yeah! It’s even got my husband on board the sparkling water train (although he likes his with a bit of sweetener) but sooo much better than conventional soda!
Plain old water does get boring after awhile. This sounds delicious. I would have never thought to add essential oils to a water based beverage.
Yes! As long as you used therapeutic grade you totally can! It’s super strong so you just need a drop!
I NEED a soda stream!
I love having sparkling water with a little lime when I’m out with friends for happy hour. It’s a nice little cocktail without all the alcohol and calories!
For sure. I’m on that alcohol-free train and trying to limit soda so sparkling water is saving my life.
I think I need a soda stream. This looks yummy!
Yes! You can also get plain bottles of sparkling water at most grocery stores, but the soda stream is awesome!
I’ve been thinking about getting a soda stream. We drink a ton of sparkling water here. This sounds yum!
This looks delicious! I drink seltzer water with a tiny splash of juice all of the time, but I always feel bad about the sugar that comes with juice. I’d way rather use fresh fruit!
Super simple but such a great idea! It’s so refreshing 🙂
Hi Kate,
I just love your Strawberry Lemon sparkling water and the use of essential oil! Looking forward to seeing you again at Full Plate Thursday tonight!
Hope you are having a great day!
