Drawing pens for journals, calendars, adult coloring.

Watercolor Journals for doodles, list making, journaling etc. You get a 4 pack so a little more than $10 but great to split up.

Thinking putty – part stress relief part creativity builder!

If you’re man has a beard, beard oil is a great gift! Also this beard trimming set is great!

Carhartt Knit Hat to keep the cold at bay. My dad’s had his for 103 years.

Cheap and thoughtful stocking stuffers you can order on amazon!

Three other things to add:

  • Favorite candy (Lindor truffles are always in our stockings! Dark chocolate for me, milk chocolate for him)
  • Favorite cologne or perfume (if they are extra good!)
  • Gift coupons like for a free backrub, car wash, night of babysitting, trip to guitar center without complaining–any act of service that will bless your loved one!
  • Gift cards! Even $5-10 for a favorite fast food joint or coffee shop.

My mom is a ninja-level stocking stuffer! Opening stockings was always one of my favorite parts of Christmas growing up, proof that it doesn’t take a lot of money to give thoughtful gifts!

Poll: Do you wrap your stocking stuffers?

*Clearly, many of these presents could be for either gender.

  1. Weirdly enough we never did stockings growing up. I don’t know if it was because my parents weren’t raised doing stockings BUT we always did Christmas Eve baggies (filled with jammies, a movie, candy, and something fun) then on Christmas morning we did have presents at the foot of our beds which were put into our pillow cases which we’d laid out the night before. It was so fun to awake to presents at our feet. I plan to do the same with my children one day and in the meantime we just exchange thoughtful gifts after Christmas dinner.
